Mr Smith the 10% share holder.
It seems it a very closed secret as to how much he paid Gold for his shares in the club.

Don’t they own Sandy Lane IN Barbs Sold0?

Yeah the three of them along with J.P.McManus....

When you think that lot have a money machine in the form of the stud Galileo who as far as I remember commands a stud fee of nigh on £300k a foal then you can see why they ventured into Horse racing rather than Football... they are on financial goldmine with their breeding operations... like I said we missed the boat...

Doesnt he also loan money to all the football teams?

Is Tabor THAT rich?

About £2bn last I heard... thing is he normally goes to war with business pals Derrick Smith and John Magnier both have got vast fortunes (around £700m+ each). Like I said I think they are all tied up in Coolmore and it's global operations than to worry about losing vast amounts of dosh on us...

He apparently has no interest in taking over. I don't blame him either.

Re: Mr Smith the 10% share holder.
Yes, he's bought it personally.

If i was an expert in LBOs and spotted a massive opportunity for an LBO type deal, I'd personally want to invest my own money rather than the companies. Because it would leverage my personal profit.

Im not suggesting anything concrete in that Willy, just that its likely that anything involving Blaqckstone would likely be in partnership. Its how they work.

Good spot Gavros but is it relevant to WH? I mean do we prefer WH to be run by Sharia Law or east end barrow boys? Anyhow, I don't think it is relevant....

Sorry Mike but I disagree. Forget the shit analogies and try this.

When you're in a hole stop digging it deeper...or...

Be careful for what you wish...lol

Leveraged buy-outs are where bank borrowings are very high in relation to the share capital. It would probably make West Ham even deeper in debt...

The Dildo's already of course have a lot of debt loaned to the club. Id imagine Tripp was offered in so that he could optimise the debt to equity mix before sale, which is particularly important here given the taxpayer clawback clause.

this fellow is an expert in leveraged finance. the sort of thing that Man U did when the glaziers bought it by selling man U's own future income up front.

you would have thought that with his contacts Mr Tripp would be able to get the right people involved in buying the club.

That's good to know that Tripp Smith wants in.
